On the one hand, the company will expand its location in Albstadt for around 3 million euros. On the other hand, the long-standing CEO, Ralf Ledda, assumes a new role within the Invacare Group. As of 1 November 2016, he will assume overall responsibility for the European business.

Ralf Ledda has been Managing Director of Alber GmbH since 1995. From November 1, 2016, he will assume overall responsibility for the Europe business of the Invacare Group as Senior Vice President and General Manager, to which Alber has been a member since 2004. From the Group's European head office in Gland, Switzerland, he will also be managing business in the Middle East and Africa. "I look forward to this new challenge within the Invacare Group," says Ralf Ledda. "The fact that I remain in touch with my management team in Albstadt at the same time in order to continue the successful cooperation of the past years is a further plus for me."

Hansjörg Reiner, who is appointed Interim Managing Director, will assume his duties at Alber. Since 2003, the commercial manager has been a member of the management board of the company. "Hansjörg Reiner stands like no other for continuity," emphasizes Ralf Ledda: "As a long-term member of the management, he is well-known to the company and has the necessary experience to carry Alber successfully - in the sense of our employees and employees Clients."

This aspect is also underlined by the announcement that Alber GmbH is investing in the expansion of the operating areas at its location in Albstadt: "The focus will be on the expansion of our training center, office space for development and product management as well as a new canteen for our employees" , Explains Ralf Ledda. The investment volume amounts to around 3 million euros and is borne jointly with the owner of the property, Weißhaupt Grundstücksgemeinschaft GmbH & Co. KG. The expansion of the business premises will create the basis for investments of several million euros in innovative products and services. "Our commitment to the rapidly growing market for electric bicycles and the positive trend in our medical products make it necessary to set the course for the future," Ledda continues. The start-up shot for the conversion measures is planned for the beginning of next year.
